I must confess to considering posting a picture of a pretty girl here, but that would be both degrading and a total lie. So, instead:

I’ve already bought a Tempo ATA card for it and a 200GB hard drive. I shall never lose my movies and music again!

At least, you won’t until that drive fails!
Get a second drive and have it mirror the other: peace of mind through redundancy ….and the signifigant associated expenditure, yeah.

Wow, I don’t back up anything.

Neither do I, but Andy here seems to have very bad luck regarding drive failure. I think he has bad mojo.

Indeed I am. I lost ~$50 of music (but most which I regained from my friends).
$50 -> 38.9166€ -> 26.5689£

So, 2-3 CDs then?
Damn weirdoes who pay for music. I may never understand them.

Or 50 iTMS songs, of course.

If that’s a 21″ cinema display I see then you’ve got the exact setup as I do. Except I’ve put the 200Gb drive in an external firewire case so I can boot my 10.3.9 backup off it. The G3 is serving up webpages and hosts a PostgreSQL server.
