I’ve been a bit on-again, off-again with Growl. But 0.7 is coming rapidly, and I’m very impressed, especially with Webkit styles. Now I can make it look the way I want – I even have Synergy sending Growl notifications instead of using its own floater.
I love it. It’s used for Hardware Growler on my machine. It looks like bezel, but in the corner

Exactly my point. I would go further and suggest that many things Andy cannot do himself are possible. Such a list would likely include quantum tunnelling, cooking a meal from only beetles and moss, and learning Spanish over a weekend.
