Standard Colour

With the help of Xenon on #colloquy, the weird bug in my Colloquy message style is now gone. Yay. Well, I say “my” style – about 4 characters of it is my original work. It’s really just the bastard lovechild of DecafBland and Standard. Still, I think it is more than the sum of its parts and is actually rather sexy. I’ve posted it here if anyone is interested, and a screenshot is left (just in case you hadn’t realised)…

Bits ‘n’ Bobs

  • Windows sucks. I was testing this site on IE6 and it crashed the OS. Woo. On the plus side, IE6 itself is actually marginally better at web page rendering than I’d been led to believe – the stylesheet needed only minor tweaks. It seriously blows when it comes to transparent images though.
  • I’m going to begin the mammoth task of backing up/wiping/installing Tiger on my Powerbook tomorrow. Wish me luck – it’s going to take a lot of dvds.
  • The final radio series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy begin on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 3rd May. If you’ve not heard any Hitchhikers before, I highly recommend tuning in at 6.30. You may not find it funny the first time, but I assure you the second time you’ll need to be wearing absorbent underwear – it really is that funny. If you’re not from the UK, the episode will be posted after broadcast (for one week only) on the BBC Hitchhikers Site. There’s a 5.1 surround sound version there, too. Enjoy.
